We all know of families that have endured the loss of their Mummy.

Perhaps we don't know them directly but we feel the sense of community loss within a neighbourhood, workplace or a school.

Last week, our cousin donated a copy of 'My Mummy lives in my heart' to her school.

Like my kids' school they have lost too many Mum's and looking for ways the community can support the children - how can they help that Mummy and make sure the kids are supported without crossing the line of family grief and boundaries.

A loan copy for the school is such a gentle way to provide that support in a loving community way.

Here is what the school said about the book...

"The book is beautiful. Sad, but hopeful as well.

We will be purchasing some copies of it and others for the school."

Karen's wish was that every school had a loan copy and every family had access to their own copy - a community helping to keep Mummy's connected in the hearts of their children and supporting them through their grief.
